View Course Button
The View Course button has been modified to be more prominent on the Current Courses page. This will encourage users to view the course rather than only interact with the course calendar.
The look of the Download Schedule button has also changed, but the functionality remains the same.
YouTube Video Integration
Designers, instructors, and students now have the ability to embed a YouTube video when using the rich-text editor. This feature is available wherever the rich-text editor is used – including student, instructor, and designer course content, text assessment activities, course communications, and student discussions.
When using the rich-text editor, you will see the YouTube icon in the multimedia section of the tool bar. Click the YouTube icon.
You will then see the "Embed YouTube Video" pop-up window that asks for the URL of the video you wish to embed.
In a separate browser tab, open the YouTube video you wish to embed. Click on the Share button that is located beneath the title of the video.
You will then see a panel beneath the Share button that has a row of social media icons and a YouTube URL. Copy the URL and return to the BlueQuill browser tab.
Paste the URL in the box in the Embed YouTube Video. The default video size is 432 x 240. If you want a higher resolution to show more detail or to view on a large screen, click the dropdown arrow to select a higher number. Click the green OK button.
Next, click Save at the top right of the learning object in BlueQuill. You will then see the YouTube video embedded in the activity.
Designers can now make configure assessments that require students to enter a password before accessing the assessment. When this feature is enabled, the system will generate a unique password per course section that is available to the instructor. The instructor can then share the password at will, such as with test proctors, select students, at a certain time, etc.
To create a password-protected assessment, check the "Require Password" box when creating an assessment.
After the course is published, the instructor will see the password in the top left corner of the assessment.
When students attempt to take the assessment, a red window will appear at the bottom of the screen prompting them to enter the password.
